Welcome to Dolgarrog, situated on the edge of the Snowdonia National Park in the beautiful Conwy Valley.
Dolgarrog Community Council serves a population of around 450. The village has a considerable history, the most notable being the Eigiau Dam disaster in 1925. In recent times, it has seen the closure of a major employer in the village - Dolgarrog Aluminium. In 2013, construction work began on this site to bring the UK’s first inland surfing destination to fruition giving the village a huge lift.
Surf Snowdonia opened on August 1st 2015 and is expected to receive some 75,000 visitors a year.
