Dolgarrog Community Council

Council Meetings

These take place on the first Monday of every month.

Welcome to Dolgarrog, situated on the edge of the Snowdonia National Park in the beautiful Conwy Valley.

Dolgarrog Community Council serves a population of around 450. The village has a considerable history, the most notable being the Eigiau Dam disaster in 1925. In recent times, it has seen the closure of a major employer in the village - Dolgarrog Aluminium. In 2013, construction work began on this site to bring the UK’s first inland surfing destination to fruition giving the village a huge lift.

Surf Snowdonia opened on August 1st 2015 and is expected to receive some 75,000 visitors a year.

Do have a look at our site and see what else Dolgarrog has to offer in terms of its history and adventure.
