Mi wnes i symud i Ddolgarrog bron i 7 mlynedd yn ôl ac rydw i wrth fy modd yn byw yma. Bu i’m gwraig a minnau symud o Blackpool lle roeddwn i’n rheolwr mewn siop cigydd am 40 mlynedd. Rydw i bellach wedi ymddeol ond rydw i’n gwneud ychydig o waith rhan amser i Marilyn ac Emlyn yn eu siopau yn Nhal y Bont ac yn Nhrefriw. Mae’r holl bobl leol wedi gwneud imi deimlo’n gartrefol iawn yma.

I am originally from Wrexham and bought a house in the village last year with my partner Lucy. I've worked in retail for the past 15 years, and have recently started my own little business. I'm looking forward to contributing in any way I can to help the community

I retired in 2011 and moved to Dolgarrog, with my wife Ruth, in 2021 following a period of renting in Cardiff and Conwy. We really appreciate the welcome we have received from those around us and enjoy the beauty of the area in which we live. We are regular church attendees at the Church in Wales. Following retirement, I was a Hospice Chaplin at Hospice of the Good Shepherd and a St Peters Café Chaplin in Chester for 8 years.
Prior to retirement I worked as Manager/Director of Estates for a number of organisations including the Chemical Industry, Manchester Colleges and the NHS at a major hospital in Liverpool. I was also Chairman of the Greater Manchester Health and Safety Group.
I am so looking forward to supporting the community in any anyway I can.

I have had the privilege of living in the village since 2015 and have instigated a number of collaborative projects over the last few years including the Caru Dolgarrog photography exhibition and website, Dolgarrog Art Club, the Gŵyl Garrog Festival and the UKSPF funded DyfoDol y Garrog 2024 project. This experience has deepened my understanding of the needs of the community and reinforced my passion for driving positive change. Previous to this I worked in education and the arts for 25 years, where I was assistant headteacher and director of the Arts College in a large secondary school.

Since moving to Dolgarrog I have been involved in the community a number of ways. Amongst other things I have been a Governor at Ysgol Dolgarrog between 2015 and 2019 and a Vice Chair and then Chair of the Governors at Ysgol Dyffryn yr Enfys between 2019 and 2024.
I also helped establish and was the Chairperson of the community Surf group Clwb Syrffio Dyffryn Conwy which ran from 2016 till the closure of Adventure Parc Snowdonia in 2023.
I am currently an associate leader with 1st Gwdyr Explorer scouts, co-
Dolgarrog is a wonderful village. I hope with my role as Councillor I can be of use to the community in as many ways as I can.

I have lived in Dolgarrog for nearly 30 years, moving from London after meeting my partner Paul who is born and bred in Dolgarrog. I have always been an active member of the community, being a school governor of Ysgol Dolgarrog, on the committees of Cylch Meithrin and Clwb Garrog and also on the planning committee for Ysgol Dyffryn Yr Enfys. Recently I have had the pleasure to be involved with the Gwyl Garrog projects which I feel is excellent for the Dolgarrog Community.
